Sports Shift

Jyväskylä's Physicists' Club Sports Shifts are back after summer break! The weekly Sports Shift in the university facilities have been ongoing since fall 2023 and they will continue on year 2025-2026.

Fyysikkokerhon viikottaisen liikuntavuorot on sunnuntaisin klo. 11.00 – 12.00 kampuksen kentän vieressä olevassa U2-urheiluhallissa. Joitakin vuoroja saattaa peruuntua, joten tarkista liikuntavuoro fyysikkokerhon tapahtumakalenterista. Liikuntavuoroilla pelataan pallopelejä sekä muuta liikuntaa osallistujien toiveiden mukaisesti. 

The sports shifts are held by the Physicists' Club board ant the sports shift representative is Pyry Runko. We have a Telegram group for sports shift goers. There you can ask questions about the shifts and request sports you want to play. The sports shift is meant for everyone, you don't need to be pro. Join us!

Rules for sports hall users:

  • You may not use outdoor shoes, heels or black shoes that leaves marks on the floor. Sand and small stones will damage the floors.
  • Since the floors are easily damaged, you may not drop sport equipment, keys etc. on the floors.
  • Return all movable equipment to their assigned places. The representative makes sure that the hall is left at clean condition and all the windows are closed.
  • The hall must be empty and ready to use for the next user as soon as the shift ends. Equipment must be returned before that and you may not stay in the hall changing clothes, maintaining your equipment etc.
  • Make sure the hall is clean as you leave and no lights are on or doors left open.
  • Keeping the front door open during your shift is strictly prohibited. Leaving the front door open results losing the sport shift immediately.
  • Misusing the hall or equipment results in losing the sports shift.
  • If you notice any problems with the hall or equipment or something breaks, please notify hall owner through QR code on the hall door.
  • You must bring your own equipment such as balls and rackets to the sports shift.
